What You Will Learn
In the Yellow Card Training Program, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the skills and knowledge essential for operating a boom under 11m. The curriculum covers key aspects such as safety protocols, equipment operation techniques, risk assessment, and compliance with industry regulations. Participants will engage in hands-on learning experiences, acquiring practical skills to confidently navigate the operation of booms within the specified height range. By the end of the program, individuals will be equipped with the expertise needed to operate booms safely and effectively, ensuring a secure and compliant approach to their work.

- Planning the job.
- Risk management.
- Pre-operational check.
- Operating a scissor lift safely.
- Operating a boom lift safely.
- Shut down and prepare for transpor

None
Entry Requirements
Participants must:
- Have at least an intermediate level of numeracy, literacy, and communication skills.
- Have no physical disabilities which could impair the safe operation of a swing stage scaffold or endanger the safety of others.
- Be proficient at working at heights.
- Access to a workplace to complete on-the-job training.
Delivery Details
This course is delivered over 1 day using a combination of face-to-face classroom and practical activity sessions. 7.00am – 3.00pm.
Class size: 8 students.
Course Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, your record of training is processed by the EWPA and you will receive an EWP Operator Licence with the proof of training and your photograph on the card.
An interim record of training from the EWPA will be emailed to you on the day of training and this can be used when operating machinery until you receive the yellow card. The EWP Operator Licence Yellow card will be processed and posted to your home address. Please let the EWPA know if you have not received your card within 60 days of training, if you let us know within that timeframe we can reissue it free of charge. After 60 days you will have to pay $30 for the card to be reissued.
Successful completion of this training product is dependent on the learner meeting all course requirements. Completion does not guarantee a specific employment outcome, as this is influenced by factors outside the RTO's control.
